- Jakub Kitowski
Born on 7th of June 1991 in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. He began playing the piano at the age of 8 in the Karine Owsepian’s class at the 1st degree State Music School in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. Since 2006, he has continued his education in the Ludomir Różycki 2nd degree State Music School in Kielce in the class of Artur Jaroń. In 2017, he graduated in the class of professor Edward Wolanin and Radosław Sobczak, as well as chamber music class of professor Maja Nosowska at the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
He is a laureate of the numerous competitions:
– III International Piano Competition named M. Moszkowski – the second prize (Kielce, 2009);
– I National Piano Competition named I. Krzyżanowski – the third prize (2010);
– X National Competition of Piano Chamber Music – the first prize (Toruń, 2010);
– I International Piano Competition named H. Neuhaus – the first prize and Heinrich Neuhaus Special Award (Kirowograd, Ukraine, 2011);
– XVII National Piano Competition – the award of distinction (Konin, 2012);
– XIII International Piano Competition ‘Muzyka bez granic’ – the second prize (Druskininkai, Lithuania, 2013);
– IV International Piano Competition ‘Premio Accademia Giovanni 2014’ – the third prize; the 1st and the 2nd awards were not granted (Rome, Italy, 2014).
– V International Piano Competition « Ischia » – the second prize (Ischia, Italy, 2017)
He participated in many master classes: IV, VI, VII, XI International Piano Forum ‘Bieszczady bez granic’ (where he received the Audience Award for the performance of Ferenc Liszt’s Hungarian Fantasy for piano and orchestra, the Rector’s Award of the Lviv National Music Academy, and prof. Viera Nossina’s Award), ‘III School of Piano Champions’, X and XI International Master Music Courses in Zmość, Master Music Course in Radziejowice, where he had a chance to work with many distinguished professors as: Eugen Indjic, Kevin Kenner, Andrzej Jasiński, Viera Nosina, Philippe Giusiano, Michaił Woskresienski, Tobias Koch, Paolo Giacometti, Nikolaj Demidenko. He appeared within the scope of the International Music Festival named Krystyna Jamroz in Busko Zdrój. He has been performing in many Polish cities as well as in Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania, France, Italy and Lithuania. He presented himself during the visit of president of Armenia in Zamość. Successfully, he performs the music of the twentieth century, both as a soloist as well as a chamber musician. He had the pleasure of performing with such magnificent conductors as: Jerzy Salwarowski, Jakub Chrenowicz, Sławomir Wróblewski, Yurily Z. Bervetsky, Jacek Kraszewski, Jerzy Kosek, Mieczysław Gawroński, Marek Głowacki. He performed concertos of such composers as: L. van Beethoven, C. Saint-Saens, E. Grieg, F. Mendelssohn- Bartholdy, F. Liszt, S. Rachmaninov with the accompaniment of Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, Podkarpacka Phinharmonic and M. Lysenko Lviv National Orchestra. Furthermore, he obtained the Governor’s Scholarship of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski district (2009), the Mayor’s Scholarship of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, and the Marshall Scholarship of świętokrzyskie province – ‘Świętokrzyskie Talents’ (2011, 2014).
